Search Help

This search engine is a literal engine. In other words, it searches for the exact word, phase, or characters that you enter. It does not accept wildcards (such as a *) or boolean logic (such as and, not, or or). It only searches the database of published works.

How to find something quickly:
1) Start simple: The online version of the database is not particularly large. As a result, you should try maxing the number of hits for a particular search. If your search returns 100 hits, the engine's limit, then you can make your search more specific.

2) Partial Words: If you are uncertain that something is spelled correctly, or if I spelled something correctly, or that you know the full term, use a partial word.

3) Author Names: Author names aree always listed last name first, the first and middle initials. Searching by last name only is recommended.
