- Great googly-boogly, I'm a father! Pictures and info on my
son's homepage.

- This page may finally begin to rise from the ashes. I haven't
updated in nearly two years, and a lot has happened. Betsy is
pregnant with our
son (due in the middle of March). We also just
purchased a house, in San Carlos (in fact, the movers are packing our
old place while I'm writing this).
GoodNoise long ago became
EMusic.com, Inc, and I'm now Vice
President of Technology. EMusic now has 85 employees (up from 5 when
I joined), and when we close the
Tunes.com deal, that number will be
over 200. It's been a crazy, busy couple of years, and it's only
going to get crazier. Obviously, all the work links dealing with PGP
no longer apply. None of these pictures of me are anywhere near
accurate, as I now have a beard, and short hair.

- Well, I've resigned from PGP, Inc.
I'm now Vice President of Engineering for a really small startup call
GoodNoise. We're essentially
an Internet record company. So far, it's incredibly fun. Fun is
something that has been lacking around here for quite some time.

- No, I'm not exactly so lazy that I haven't updated this page in
five months - it's really only been two. Sadly, we got hacked at the
end of August and the newest backup I had was from the beginning of
June, so I lost all my updates. I've been too busy putting the basics
back together to get in an update.
PGP 5.0 for
Unix is long shipped, and I'm now in the design phase of 5.5 for
Unix.
I have a beard now. Pictures coming someday.
- Friday, May 23, 1997
- Well, we're finally prime-time with this new page, almost four
months since I began work on it!
Yesterday I acquired drwho.com for
Betsy. My work on PGP
5.0 for Windows is now complete, and I have the honor and
privledge of now working on PGP 5.0 for Unix (initial development
under Linux).
- Saturday, April 19, 1997
- Obviously, I haven't had much time to update this.
Cookie Cutter shipped
a little while back. I'm currently working on PGPmail 5.0 for Windows.
The exciting news of the day is that I've been officially promoted by PGP
to be "Senior Member of Technical Staff" (I think that's
the title; we'll find out when I get my business cards, I suppose). This
basically reflects my day-to-day duties accurately, now (so it's pretty
much an after-the-fact sort of a promotion as opposed to a "Here's new
stuff for you to do" sort of promotion). There aren't enough hours in the
day for me to do much more, so that's a
good thing!
In other news,
Betsy has started working for
Adobe, at the help desk. It's her first
job in the computer industry; I'm very proud of her, and she seems to really
enjoy it.
- Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997
- Well, PGPmail 4.5
has finally shipped. I'm taking a breather for a few days, then I'm off to
work on PGPcookie.cutter for a bug or two and then moving on to other (as yet
unspecified) cool things.
My old page is still available.
